Joanna Ambrosio, a.k.a JoRobot.
I’m really not into labeling who I am by what I do, so I’m hesitant in saying “I’m a designer, illustrator and art director”. I will say this instead – I create illustrations and graphics as a means to educate, motivate and inspire our community.
I am a wife, a mother, and someone who thinks it’s taller than she really is. I’m inspired by anything that brings an emotion, may it be a gigantic mural or an intimate show. My intention is to share this inspiration with others through my work.
I also make a killer guacamole.
Midnightdoodles started as a side project to fight the resistance of drawing just for the sake of it. As someone who spent many hours on a computer during the day, I got the urge to draw whatever came to mind right around midnight. It didn’t have to be perfect, it just had to be done and shared. This became my most intimate and difficult project (have you ever NOT judged your own work and feared being judged too? Yeah, me neither).

Midnightdoodles has taken over my day job, and this is how this website came to be. It isn’t perfect, it just is.
